Who we are

Our playgroup offers a vibrant space for children to grow up with the Japanese language while parents share advice and friendship.

We meet every Tuesday morning, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Whether you have a tiny newborn or a busy preschooler, our doors are open! It’s more than just a playgroup; it’s a place for children to experience the joy of Japanese culture through fun activities and meaningful play.

Mat time

Give your child the benefit of professional care. Our playgroup is facilitated by a certified Japanese educator who brings years of expertise to every session.

Baby safe

We know how important safety is for our youngest members. Our venue is equipped with a dedicated Play Pen area, ensuring that babies can crawl, roll, and explore in a secure, protected environment. While the older children enjoy the bouncy castle, you can relax knowing your baby is playing safely nearby.

Library

We offer a wonderful selection of Japanese children’s books and DVDs for rent.

Activities

From Japanese seasonal festivals and handmade crafts to the high-flying fun of a bouncy castle, our playgroup offers a rich multicultural experience. We provide a space where Japanese heritage and New Zealand play culture come together for children.
